In a fashion world often driven by overproduction, synthetic fabrics, and throwaway quality, we wanted to take a more considered approach to underwear. Not more styles for the sake of more choice. Not trend led pieces that quickly lose their appeal. Just one beautifully focused product, made properly.
Every String Nix string thong is designed as an elevated everyday essential. Made from GOTS certified organic cotton with recycled elastic, each piece brings together softness, breathability, comfort, and a smooth barely there fit under clothes.
For us, slow fashion means restraint. It means choosing better materials, working with recognised standards, and creating underwear that feels good to wear again and again. It means focusing on fit, fabric, and function, rather than chasing constant newness.
Our collection is intentionally small and carefully considered, with 4 skin tone inspired shades plus classic Black and White. Each shade has been chosen to work within a real wardrobe, from everyday dressing to lighter fabrics, tailoring, dresses, and occasion wear.
Slow fashion has to start somewhere, and there is no better place than with the basics. The pieces closest to skin are worn most often, washed most often, and relied on more than almost anything else in the wardrobe. That is why quality matters here.

I’ve tried countless undies brands over the years, including some of the big names, and nothing comes close in terms of comfort, fit, and quality.
The organic cotton is lovely and soft without being flimsy, and the recycled elastic, (didn’t even know that was a thing) gives the right amount of support without cutting in.
I like that String Nix is built around everyday luxury essentials. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard, it just is better.

Made with certified organic cotton which is super soft and extremely comfortable to wear.
They are easy to wash and I also put mine to dry in the tumble dryer on a gentle heat, even though it advises you not to tumble dryer them, they were fine, no shrinkage. Highly recommended.
